Michelle's Story:

Michelle is an orphan who was abandoned when she was only a baby. She had been thrown into a sewage pit, left to die a horrible death, probably due to a single mother who lived in poverty.  One of Independent Church in India’s ministry partners heard her desperate cries that day and pulled her out of that obscene place. Due to lying in the sewage her eyes have been affected and her eyesight has been severely damaged. An ICII missionary name Pastor Lawi and his wife has been taking care of Michelle and providing her needs as they are able, but it is a hardship for them since they already have  the responsibility of other orphan children who live with them in their small house.

A letter from Michelle to her Sponsor:

Greetings Mom and Dad
I hope all of you are fine and alive. We are also fine and alive. I just write this letter to greet you all and to tell you all that I am doing fine and thankful to you for the love and support you have given me all this time.
I am so happy with everything both at home and in school. I am loved with my friends both at home and in school. I go to church every Sunday and singing in my Sunday school lessons and I love our Sunday lessons.
I have food and clothes plus all the care that I may need. I am so happy to live with my other fellow children in love and peace. I canst say much but to thank you all for everything. I am a good girl and I promise to continue being a good girl.
I love you
Daughter Michelle
