Pauline’s Story:

After Pauline’s parents died, she had no one. Left alone on the streets, eating from the garbage dumps was her only way to survive. No one took Pauline in after the death of her parents, because everyone thought that she would die. Her life was hopeless and she was suffering from malnutrition and lack of care.  She went through a lot of suffering because of her condition. When Pastor Calvince found her he took her into his house by faith, trusting that God would provide her needs. One day when Pauline was not feeling well, she was taken to the hospital for tests. Tragically, she was found to be HIV positive. She has currently been on  medicine for her condition which is making her life much better.

A letter from Pauline to her Sponsor:

I greet you, Dad. I thank God, for I believe that you are fine. I am writing this letter just to greet you and to tell you how I am doing in my life. I am doing fine and I love you so much and I am praying for you all the time. All the time I keep on thanking God because of you. Since you started supporting me I have a big change in my life, I have clothes, food, I sleep well, and I am going to school. I love Jesus and I go to church every Sunday to sing and do Sunday school with my fellow children. I am learning very good in school and for that reason my teachers like me and also my fellow school classmates. I do all I am told by my teacher and for that reason I pass in my subjects and everyone is happy with me.  I don’t have much to say, but just want to say that I am grateful and thankful for your support. I know that I will be a good girl all the time. Please pray for me as I am praying for you. I love you!”   ...Your Daughter Pauline
